Ayersville Local Schools is seeking applicants for a 9-12 Guidance Counseling position. Candidates must possess appropriate certification or license. Knowledge of Middle and Elementary school services is a plus as we are a K-12 building. Ideally, the candidate would bring to the school system a variety of experiences to support the management of the following responsibilities:
- Individual and/or group counseling
- Coordinating and connecting students and families with wrap around services
- Assisting students with course registration and meeting graduation requirements
- Schedule building through the PowerSchool system
- Assisting students with the college application process
- Assisting students with scholarship applications
- Managing the local scholarship program
- Assisting and facilitating the testing programs (EDC, ACT, ASVAB)
- Managing student records
- Upholds the student conduct code
- Maintaining accurate student data files through PowerSchool
- Knowledge of EMIS reporting
- Helps intervention assistance team (IAT) members and special education services
- Ability to network with personnel from other districts, the Career Center, and higher education to meet the needs of students engaging in programming beyond our building
- Coordinating College Credit Plus Program
- Collaborating and coordinating career exploration opportunities
