Students watch a live stream of erupting hotspot volcano on La Palma, Canary Islands as they research and report about the location and plate tectonic features in Ms. Fast's 8th Grade Science classes.


7th grade scientists are beginning the study of seasons with a brief lesson on constellations. Students read an article, highlighted main ideas, and created a top five facts sheet. Together we rearranged and combined facts, watched videos to illustrate the facts, and came up with a final top five list (as pictured).

CCP Writing students are about to get into their deep revision projects. We started today with some fun revision work. Deep revision is more than just making surface level changes; it's STAR (Substitute, Take-Out, Add, Rearrange). I can't wait to see how they apply these concepts to texts!
