
Art II students started painting the plow today for ODOTs annual program.





Editing for overall structure is often easier on paper than it is on a computer screen, especially when your paper is 8+ pages. CCP Writing students were asked to cut up and rearrange their papers today with their audience in mind.

"All the world's a stage!" Nothing is better than seeing sophomores on their feet, acting out scenes from "Julius Caesar."




Athletic Update: The JV baseball scrimmage at Bath tonight is cancelled. No practice today, practice tomorrow at 9am. Tomorrow's Baseball DH at Celina is cancelled and we are working on a make up date.

In Mrs. Goonan's 7th ELA class teams of seventh graders applied their knowledge of figurative language in an escape room activity. Fantastic teamwork and a great OST review tool!




Softball scrimmage tonight at Wauseon is cancelled due rain. Practice will be until 4:30pm tonight.

The HS Band has had a great time so far in Colonial Williamsburg and Norfolk. Thanks so the chaperones, Music Boosters, and community for making our trip a reality.

The Quiz Bowl teams ended their season today at the Defiance County Quiz Bowl Tournament. All team members did a great job collaborating. The JV team placed second. Congratulations!


Did you celebrate Pi Day on 3/14? Students, remember to get your Pi question answered for a chance to win a cafeteria cookie. I hear they are so good, they will knock your socks off!


BEWARE THE IDES OF MARCH! On March 15, 44 BC, Julius Caesar was murdered on his way to the Capitol. Students in Sophomore English are reading Shakespeare's version of events, and today they created tableaux of the scene and then critiqued a professional production. (No students were harmed in this production.)

Congratulations to Mr. Luthy and the HS band for earning a Superior (1) rating this weekend at the OMEA Large Group Contest!


This Friday (3/18) is a Waiver Day which means no school for students! In conjunction with local law enforcement and the fire department, on Friday morning our staff will be participating in a full scale safety drill.

In Mrs. Fast’s 7th grade Science class this morning, students are exploring ocean currents and their effect on the climate of both coastal and inland locations at various latitudes! Palm trees in the Uk?? Yep!


Congrats to Maci F., our recipient of the Franklin B. Walter scholarship, offered through the NWOESC and awarded in recognition of her boundless dedication to academic achievement. Maci F. nominated Mrs. Edmonds as her honored teacher! Congrats to both on this accomplishment!





I had the privilege of listening to the HS Band prepare for their upcoming large group contest yesterday! As usual, they sounded FANTASTIC! Good luck at contest tomorrow to all our band members and Mr. Luthy!
