Speech students recently studied propaganda techniques and created a fictitious product to "sell" to the class. They presented an infomercial, demonstrated how it works, and answered impromptu questions about the product.
Reminder: Tomorrow (3/17) is a Waiver Day which means no school for students. (The bus for 4CCC students will still depart at 7:50 a.m.) Enjoy the day off – see you on Monday!

Meet the cast of "The Wizard of Oz"! Today we are featuring our Witches and Wizard: Melinda, Belinda, Glinda, and the Wizard of Oz!
Melinda, the Good Witch of the North, will be played by Emily. She is an eighth grader. Previously, she has appeared in "Sister Act, Jr.", "Mary Poppins", and "Legally Blonde". She is also on the cheerleading team.
Belinda, the Wicked Witch of the West, will be played by Rebecca. She is a junior who previously appeared in "Peter Pan", "All I Really Need to Know I Learned by Being in a Bad Play", "Sister Act, Jr.", and the Variety Show. She is also active in Quiz Bowl, Spanish Club, and National Honors Society. Additionally, she is a classically-trained violinist and a member of the Black Swamp Community Orchestra. She would like to study music and education after high school.
Glinda, the Good Witch of the South, will be played by Paige. She is a sophomore who is also part of the Costumes & Props and Publicity Crews. Previously, she appeared onstage in "Annie", and "Sister Act, Jr". She is also on the Quiz Bowl team.
The Wizard of Oz will be played by Justin, a freshman. Behind the scenes, he is also a member of the Running Crew. He also made an appearance in "Sister Act, Jr.". Outside of theatre, Justin plays football and baseball.

Meet the cast of "The Wizard of Oz"! Today we are featuring our leads: Dorothy, the Scarecrow, the Tinwoman, the Lion, and Toto!
Dorothy will be played by Jazlyn. She is a freshman who previously appeared in "Annie". She enjoys running in track and singing with the choir.
The Scarecrow will be played by Ava. She is an eighth grader who previously appeared in "Sister Act, Jr." She is also an AJHS cheerleader.
The Tinwoman will be played by Tori. She is a junior making her debut appearance. She is involved in track, cross country, and band. She wants to study music education when she graduates next year.
The Lion will be played by Drew. He is a sophomore who previously appeared in "Sister Act, Jr." at Ayersville. He also appeared in "Oliver" and "Something Rotten" with the Fort Defiance Players. He enjoys taking private vocal and piano lessons, tennis, swim, and band.
Toto will be played by Vivian. She is a Shih Tzu making her debut appearance. She enjoys playing with and herding the chickens in the backyard, her training sessions for 4H, and watching the neighborhood stray cat from the window. She also enjoys treats and long naps on the couch.
