Pilots Track competed at the Otsego Relays today, we stayed dry and had some great starts to the year in our first meet. First ever Mixed 4x4 set a school record of 4:43.29! Results can be found at https://www.baumspage.com/track/otsego/relays/2023/Results%20to%20print.pdf

Sports Updates 3-31: Today's baseball game at Spencerville and the softball game at home vs Bryan have been cancelled. The Track meet at Otsego is still happening. Field events will begin at 4:15pm with running starting around 5pm.

Technology Device Update Approximately every four to five years the district refreshes a portion of the computers that are used by staff and students. We are currently in the process of reviewing devices that will replace those used by all staff and students in grades 9-12. Throughout this review period teachers and students are encouraged to give their input on how the device fits their needs. We plan to reach a decision near the end of April. Devices that we are currently reviewing include the Chromebook, MacBook Air, Mac mini, and iPad. Additionally, funds received through an ECF grant totaling $121,884 will help offset the costs of our new devices.

Athletic Update: Tonights Varsity baseball game at Hilltop has been cancelled and rescheduled for April 17th. The JV game tonight at home vs Archbold is still on as planned.

Congratulations, Jeremiah Joseph and Benjamin Weisgerber, for placing in the 2023 Create Your Own Story Creative Writing Contest! Jeremiah placed second with his short story, "The Inevitable Shift," and Benjamin placed third with his short story, "Backrooms: Account of Ambition."

Our FFA students participated in the Agricultural Appreciation and Hall of Fame Breakfast this morning, recognizing the induction of Lynn N. Davis. It was an honor to be there with the Davis family and recognize a great Ayersville community member with ties to our FFA program and school district.

Speech students recently studied propaganda techniques and created a fictitious product to "sell" to the class. They presented an infomercial, demonstrated how it works, and answered impromptu questions about the product.

Reminder: Tomorrow (3/17) is a Waiver Day which means no school for students. (The bus for 4CCC students will still depart at 7:50 a.m.) Enjoy the day off – see you on Monday!
