Last night, two seniors, Micah Bartley and Willa Culp, were proudly recognized as they received their NTHS cords and awards. We also celebrated the induction of our juniors, Avery Antoine and Angel Moore, into this prestigious organization.
Your hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence in career and technical education are something to be proud of. We look forward to all you will continue to accomplish!

The OGYAE is a highly competitive, two-level (regional and state) juried show that provides students across Ohio the opportunity to showcase their talents and elevate their artistic craft. Olyvia was honored at the state awards ceremony on Sunday, April 12, in Columbus for her piece, "The Feeble Mind Gone Mute."
We are incredibly proud of Olyvia’s hard work, creativity, and dedication. We wish her the best of luck in all her future artistic endeavors—we cannot wait to see what she creates next!

This year’s contest, centered around the theme “Independence,” featured over 100 student entries from across Defiance, Ayersville, and Tinora in elementary through high school divisions. Ayersville students had an outstanding showing, earning 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in the high school division, along with 1st place in the junior high division.
In the 9–12 division:
🥉 Hannah Altstaetter (junior) – “Breaking Free”
🥈 Kendyll Booher (sophomore) – “Standing Alone”
🥇 Gwendolyn Hibbard (sophomore) – “Sanctuary Skies”
In the 6–8 division:
🥇 Enslie McGuire (8th grade) – “A Dog’s Declaration of Independence” and “A Cat’s Claim of Independence”
As Miss Budke shared, “Mrs. Goonan and I are both incredibly proud of these young writers and the courage they showed in submitting their work and the poise they exhibited reading at last night’s ceremony.”
Congratulations to all of our student writers for representing Ayersville so well. We’re proud of your creativity, your voice, and your willingness to share your work with others. And thank you to our local library for continuing to provide opportunities like this for our students to shine.

State end-of-course testing begins soon!
We’ve shared a detailed letter with testing dates and scheduling adjustments. Please note that some mornings will follow a 2-hour delay schedule for students not testing, while all buses will continue to run at normal times.
We encourage all students to be prepared, get plenty of rest, and do their best. If you have any questions, please contact the high school office.
Let’s finish the year strong, Pilots!

High School Student Council loved hosting a daily Easter Egg Hunt for everyone, but we know what the real highlight was... the legendary "Extra Hunt" for our Principal, Mr. Grime! 🔎 Seeing you all race to track down the "Big Bunny" himself made the week unforgettable. We had just as much fun organizing these daily hunts as you did searching. Thank you to everyone who participated, and a massive thank you to Mr. Grime for being such an incredible sport! 🥕
