The Diary of Anne Frank

Mrs. Franks' Junior High English class has been reading The Diary of Anne Frank. The class started the unit by covering basic knowledge about the historic events of WWII and The Holocaust.

As they have read the best selling novel, the students have become invested in Anne's life in hiding. After diary entries, they share their personal reflections on the moods, events, and stirrings of the members in the Secret Annex. It has been eye opening for the class to realize that these events happened in history.

In addition to reading The Diary of Anne Frank, each student has been writing in their own class diaries. Students have had fun writing their own ideas and thoughts through their diary entries.
