Third grade students have been learning about healthy choices through the help of the My Plate Program. Students have been learning about healthy eating habits and the importance of drinking water and staying active. The Four County ADAMhs Board and United Way of Defiance County provide grant funding to Defiance County Health Department for the My Plate program. We are so fortunate to partner with great community organizations!

Mr. Manriquez met with 6th grade students to talk about opportunities to participate in sports when they get to junior high next year. Just a reminder, the staff of Mercy Health Defiance will be on site to conduct our annual sports physicals for the 2022-2023 school year on Wednesday, May 18th, during the school day. Have you noticed the Mobile Dentist in front of the school this week? Ayersville Local Schools is partnering with Health Partners of Western Ohio to provide dental cleanings to students in grades PK-12. Another great example of the importance of our community!

Fourth grade students have been learning about paper circuits in Makerspace Lab. They used Chibitronics kits and templates to complete the project. Students designed their own cards. After their design was complete, they added the copper tape, LED light, and a battery to complete the circuit.
