Ayersville attendees

July 11th through the 15th, Ayersville FFA Chapter sent thirteen members to FFA Camp Muskingum in Carrollton, Ohio. On the Leesville Lake waterfront, campers had the opportunity to swim and fish as well as operate motorboats, kayaks, and canoes. Members participated in sports and activities tournaments with their groups. These consisted of sports like volleyball, kickball, Ping-Pong, archery and shooting ranges. This session was ‘Wild West’ themed, and activities were centered around this. Many made new friends from chapters all over Ohio. State FFA Officers were present for this session and acted as counselors, providing many a chance to get to know them. Attendees participated in challenges and were offered the opportunity to go  against other groups in friendly competitions. During the week, there were also chances to listen to professionals in a range of fields talk about their jobs and their relation to agriculture. There were also workshops put on by the State Officers. This camp not only taught members new things, but gave them the chance to meet new people and bond over shared interests. All that attended, Freshmen to graduates, had a wonderful time at FFA Camp Muskingum and hope to go back next year!
