FFA new members meeting with officers

On Sunday August 15, 2021 the Ayersville FFA Chapter had their First Member Night. First Member Night is a time for new incoming members and their families to come in and learn about the chapter. They learn about all the activities that they will do in their first year including learning about soil, animals, plants, and learn about tools and will even make some sort of wood working project. The night started off with playing a game that some of the officer team learned while at FFA camp. After they played a game the first members split into groups while Miss Morlock talked to the parents. The officer team split up and talked to the first members about different areas in FFA, which included: SAE, CDE, classroom, and shop. Once every group had finished their presentation, the first chapter meeting for the school year had started. First members were able to participate in the meeting and were encouraged to sign up to volunteer at the Defiance County Fair. The chapter meeting and First Member Night was a success for the Ayersville FFA and they cannot wait to begin the school year!
