Dear Ayersville Elementary Students and Families,
Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year! I hope you have all had a joy-filled, safe, and enjoyable summer break. I cannot wait to hear about the books you read, the adventures you went on, and the memories you made with loved ones and friends.
My name is Laura Inkrott and I am your new K-6 Elementary Principal. I am eager to get the school year started and to meet you all! I have learned quickly of the great partnership between the Ayersville community and schools, through conversations with staff, parents, and students these past few weeks. The pride everyone has for Ayersville Local Schools is strong, and I am honored to be a part of the Ayersville Family.
Everyone is working hard on having a great school year at Ayersville Elementary School. Teachers and staff are busy setting up their classrooms and getting the building ready for students. In addition, I also want to share some key pieces of information with you to have a successful start to the school year.
First, please check out the new district website: www.ayersville.org. Important Information will be posted to the website leading up to the start of school and throughout the year. You will see that each building (Elementary and High School) has their own separate site link on the new website. Please continue to check the Elementary page for up-to-date information.
There will also be a brand new application that will be available for free in both the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store. This will allow for increased communication directly to your mobile device! This will replace the previously used text alert system. More information will be coming about the app. Stay tuned!
At the top of the district webpage in the right hand corner, you will see a link to the 2021-2022 School Calendar. I’ve also attached the district calendar. The district calendar has been updated with all of the district Waiver Days, 2-hour delays for the year, and first day of school. Those days are:
First Day of School: August 31, 2021
Waiver Days (Teacher In-Service Days/No School for Students)
August 30, November 1, January 14, and March 18
2-Hour Delays for professional development/staff meetings
October 6, December 1, February 2, April 6, and May 4
Please be on the lookout for an email and website updates notifying you that the online Registration Portal has been opened. Every student must register. This is for all students, whether they are returning students or new students. Please be sure that the mailing addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses you provide through the online registration process are accurate and up-to-date. This is important information for the district. Please contact Mrs. Flory in the District Office at 419-395-1111 or firstname.lastname@example.org, if you have any questions regarding registration.
Information specific for incoming kindergarten families will be posted to the website and emailed in the coming days. I look forward to meeting our youngest members of Pilot Nation!
As always, please do not hesitate to reach out. I look forward to seeing you all in a couple weeks!
With Pilot Pride,
