Ayersville High School Announcements

Thanks to all who helped make the gong show a success!  We were able to raise over $150.00 for our S.A.D.D. Chapter!  A huge thanks to all those who participated, we could not have done it without you!  All the acts were great.  Congrats to our winners:  George, Shane and Ryan.  See you in a couple of years!

Summer School reminder- If you are interested in summer school, please get your form and payment in ASAP.  The morning and afternoon Phys Ed classes are now full, but we still have a few opening in Speech and Health.

If you have turned in election forms for student council or class officers, please check your    e-mail regarding election information.

Elections will be during activity period in the auditorium; Juniors- Tuesday; Freshman – Wednesday; Sophomores – Thursday

Please bring your laptops with you for voting.

Make sure you get your tickets for Ayersville After Prom Activities April 28-29 2012.  Cost is $15.00 for all students.  Tickets are available from Mrs. Nicely before school and periods 1-4 in the H.S. Study Hall.  Please Purschase your ticket before TUESDAY, APRIL 24th to guarantee your T-Shirt for the After Prom evening.

Prom tickets on sale during lunch in the high school study hall room.  Tickets are $25.  Seniors still receive their tickets free but must come to get their ticket and get on the list.  Cash or checks made out to Ayersville Local Schools will be accepted.  Tickets will remain on sale from now until Thursday April 26 in the HS Study Hall during lunch and in the band room throughout the rest of the day.

Moser Nursing Scholarship:  Applicants must be planning to pursue a career in nursing, either as a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse, demonstrate financial need (the primary basis for consideration for this award), and already be accepted into a nursing program at the school of the applicant’s choice.  Applications are available from the guidance office and all materials must be received by May 11th.   

Music Boosters Membership drive-is now through May 31.  Cost is $15.00 for the year.  Mail payment to Tiffanie Raike - 2014 Ayersville Ave.  Defiance, OH  43512.  In order for the class of 2012-13 to be eligible for Ayersville Music Boosters Scholarship, your membership must be paid on time.

The GMC has started a new website.  The conference gets a kickback for the use of this site. The more people that use the site the more we get.  If you could log into the site at least once a month it would help the conference and us as it is used to purchase awards and so forth for conference events.  The url for the site is www.ihigh.com/gmc thanks in advance.

The following scholarships or opportunities are available either through the guidance office or by getting an online application:

Ohio Business Week Programs:  If you are planning a career in business, then this program could be for you.  It is open to any student grades 9 through 12.  Early bird discount ends February 19.  Applications are due April 30 for the week at Youngstown State University (June 24-30) or Ohio Dominican University (July 8-14).  A minimum GPA of 2.5 is required, along with no discipline history and to be either involved in extracurricular or community activities.  

Northwest State’s Choose Ohio First Scholarship:  This scholarship is divided into two separate awards.
