Disciplinary Action taken if the rules are not followed
*If a student commits a crime (breaks any of the above rules), he/she will initially be given a
15-min.-1/2 hr. detention after school.
*If the student fails to show up for a detention or study table, the student will be referred to the principal.
*The degree of the offense could result in automatic referral to the principal.

*Remember: "Trust is hard won, easily lost, and never fully regained."

Honesty Policy: All students are expected to complete their own work with their own ideas unless otherwise instructed. This means students are not permitted to work together on individual homework assignments, nor is it allowed that another person write an essay or paper for the student. It is also expected that students will not copy another student’s homework. If any students are caught intentionally cheating on individual assignments/tests/quizzes all parties involved will receive a zero on the assignment/test/quiz, an hour detention, and a referral to the principal, which will include a letter home to parents. A second offense will result in recommended ISS.

When you are absent
GET YOUR HOMEWORK SLIP OUT OF THE FOLDER (in between classes, before school, activity period, etc.)
*When absent: YOU NEED TO SEE ME DURING THE ACTIVITY PERIOD! If you have a morning class before the activity period, see me in the morning or before the start of class; we will NOT take up class time to discuss missed work. You may also email me: ayr_aca_tf@nwoca.org
*When you miss, you need to show me your homework that was due the day you were absent before the bell rings. IF YOU DO NOT, YOU DO NOT GET CREDIT. For assignments you missed that day, you must see me before, so we can make arrangements for you to make up the work. If you don't and we go over the assignment, you can't make up that work.
*If you miss a test or quiz, arrangements must be made before class or DURING THE ACTIVITY PERIOD to make up the test or quiz. If you do not, 10 pts. per day will be deducted from your final test score. I WILL NOT REMIND YOU TO MAKE UP A TEST OR QUIZ.
*3 misses of a test during the year = all essay test

*If you are here for PART OF THE DAY and you miss my class, you will need to get your assignments and have your homework ready for the next day. If you're here a half day and miss my class the day before a test, you will take the test the following day.
*If you are absent test day, you will take the more difficult make-up test.
*School activities: If you are absent for a school activity, you need to get your assignments ahead of time, and the assignment will be due on time with the rest of the class. The same goes for pre-approved absences.

I EXPECT YOU TO BE RESPONSIBLE!
After-school study table
If you fail to complete ANY ESSAY assignments, you will be staying after school to complete the essay. Also, if you do not complete any THREE assignments within a nine-week period, you will be assigned a study table and any assignments after that not completed will result in a study table where you will work on present or future assignments. If you FAIL QUIZZES OR TESTS, study tables will also be assigned. Study table time could range from 1/2 hour to an hour and a 1/2. These after-school study tables will be assigned at the teacher's discretion.
This is not a punishment. This is simply to help ensure your success in this class.
**If you follow these rules, we will have a great year. I'm hopeful you'll make productive choices this school year. You are responsible for your actions.
